Relationship Rescue
Relationships are important in every facet of life, whether they concern marriage, family, friends, co-workers or customers. There is no joy greater than that stemming from a healthy relationship. Unfortunately, relationships can go sour and cause unending (and in some cases even unnecessary) suffering. Such broken relationships are a prime cause of stress and loss of happiness.
Marriage is at the forefront as far as relationship issues are concerned. It can get especially tough for newlyweds if they fail to understand each other and compromise. The common challenges include:
- adjusting to a new environment and people
- not being heard or accepted in the new environment
- lack of freedom
- irritating habits of a spouse
- the husband might feel helpless when faced with pressure from his family to suppress his wife’s wishes
- emotional liability e.g. anger at trivial matters; communication gap
- trust issues, e.g. lying or withholding information
- relationship lacks warmth and love
It is not surprising that sourness creeps into many marriages. However it is unfortunate when the issues are trivial, or forced from either of the spouse’s family. Rigidity and refusal to respect the spouse’s individuality destroys the relationship. The result is a divorce, arguments, abuse, relationship falling apart or suffering in silence. Since everything is connected, work and quality of life are affected. Peace of mind and sakoon, become elusive.
The good news is that most of these issues can very much be solved, given that the husband and wife are willing to take a positive and healthy mindset. This program helps couples work together through the challenges, be clear on what they want and develop an action plan to reclaim peace of mind and joy.
