Client Testimonial:

I was struggling with overwhelm when I saw Dr. Aamer for a stomach problem. There was too much going on in my life: my doctoral project was delayed with its deadline fast approaching. I could not find time for it as I was teaching at university, with its own demands; caring for my family, looking after my parents and running my house.

A single session with Dr. Aamer helped me make more progress on my project in one week than in the previous four months! I had a few more coaching sessions with him. The most valuable benefit of coaching was that I discovered hidden talents which I did not even know of!

The Coach: Dr. Aamer IqbalDr Aamer is the Coaching Doctor

Dr. Aamer Iqbal has helped clients deal with more than health related problems for over twenty years. And he got into this field quite by chance. Having trained in medicine from King Edward Medical College, Lahore and National Heart and Lung Institute with its affiliated Brompton and London Chest Hospitals, he began his career with the aim of practicing chest medicine at the primary care level. However, patients began asking him for help with problems ranging from job stress, career choice, marriages facing a breakdown, depression after retirement, improving health, lifestyle, remaining well at work and losing weight. This was in addition to regular medical practice. Dr. Aamer then realized that his passion was to help people deal with emotional and health challenges, thus allowing them to live their lives fully.

To gain proper expertise in this field, he underwent coach training with Coach Inc., a leading coach training provider, and also trained in neurolinguistic programming (NLP). He is also a member of the International Coach Federation. In this regard, Dr. Aamer holds a unique position, having both medical and coaching training.

His main clinical interest is in helping asthma patients stay out of hospital, i.e. attain better control of asthma.

His articles have been published in the quarterly magazines Ink and Citizen-Wise. He was interviewed for an article for the BlogWorld Expo in Las Vegas in October 2010: you can read it here http://www.blogworld.com/2010/10/13/the-coaching-doctors-advice-for-blogworld/.
